This crucial project was created to improve the education of some of the poorest children in the world. Located close to one of Kathmandu's largest slum areas, near Bhaktapur, this volunteer program is based in an under-resourced school that provides free education, textbooks, uniforms, and shoes to more than 150 children living in poverty and whose parents would otherwise not have been able to give them an education. Volunteers work alongside local teachers, helping teach major subjects such as English, mathematics, science, history, and geography.

Volunteer teachers have a huge impact on the improvement of students' language skills. An English-speaking ability is highly beneficial to Nepal's local youth, allowing them to pursue further education and seek employment where English is an advantage, such as in the tourism sector, a major market in the country. Volunteer teachers help many low-income children learn a tool vital to their future success. This project truly makes a difference in the lives of children facing a bleak future.
