Community Education and Nutrition in Honduras

This amazing project was created in 2010 to improve the well-being and access to education for impoverished children in the seaside town of El Porvenir. In addition to exposing students to English, volunteers work alongside local interns to provide a broad educational base and essential life skills. Volunteers work primarily with students aged 5 - 11 years but can also assist with classes specifically for teenagers and dedicated evening sessions for adults. The program runs all year round and welcomes participants who can stay for 2 weeks or longer—some have loved it so much they've stayed for a year!
