This eight-week course covers the anatomy, physiology, and health management of companion animals through 15 online modules. Students learn important skills such as physical exams, aesthetic management, principles of spaying and neutering, and common diseases of dogs and cats. This course also examines the process of veterinary school admissions and the many career pathways within veterinary medicine.

This course comprises weekly online lecture recordings and assignments that students can complete at their own pace throughout the week, as well as forum-based discussions twice a week. Throughout this course, receive one-on-one mentorship from a veterinarian. A transcript from Iowa Wesleyan University with the three credits is included in the tuition.
