LIFE COURSE ACADEMY
Why choose LIFE COURSE ACADEMY?
Life Course Academy is developing a private, non-accredited, eight-month residential sailing gap year in Costa Smeralda, Sardinia, for young adults aged 18–25. Competitive sailing is the main training environment. Students use methods from high-performance sport—clear objectives, deliberate practice, feedback, reflection, recovery and repetition—to build discipline, independence, teamwork, leadership and decision-making under pressure, then transfer those methods to studies, work and personal choices. The programme runs in English from 1 October 2027 to 31 May 2028 and includes 1,000 hours: 500 on the water and 500 of learning on shore. No previous sailing experience is required, but students must be able to swim and meet the admissions requirements. Each student builds a Progress Portfolio and a practical 90-Day Action Plan. The operating company is being incorporated in Italy; no enrolment contracts or programme-related payments are currently accepted.
