About KUKAMA WILDLIFE COLLEGE

We are Kukama, a conservation-focused training college inspired by the resilience of the Oryx gazelle, a symbol of strength, endurance, and adaptability. Based in South Africa, we were established to provide immersive, real-world conservation education that goes beyond classroom learning. For years, we have been preparing students through hands-on experiences in nature, guided by experts, fieldwork, and practical training in a private game reserve environment.

We work with students and young adults who are passionate about wildlife, nature, and conservation careers. Our programs are designed to help them grow into skilled, responsible conservationists through small group learning, mentorship, and direct exposure to wilderness life. Our goal is to shape future leaders in conservation by combining practical field experience, ethical learning, and personal development, so our students can build meaningful careers while contributing to the protection of nature and wildlife.

What an amazing experience!

My time at Kukama was honestly just what I needed. Being surrounded by the bush, the quiet, and the simplicity of the space reminded me why I love this kind of lifestyle. The rooms are comfortable, the people are kind, and it's peaceful. I loved sitting on the patio with a coffee in hand, watching the sunrise, or just listening to the birds in the evenings. The main house has everything you need. It’s a place that feels real. Nothing fancy, just good energy, nature all around. I’ll definitely be back.

This was a experience i wil remember for always. Great people great food and the educational purpose of this place is great. Lectures amd lecture room was something else. Night time around the camp fire kooking food and enjoying the group.Come visit its a must
