I loved the local organization I worked with! They are focused on sexual and reproductive health education, which fit perfectly for me because I am very interested in public health. My in-country director and project supervisor were great, and I also liked the cultural workshops we took part in throughout the program!
Amazing work

This programme fits me wonderfully; I am doing work that pertains to where I want to go in the future. I have been able to observe specifically how things are going to benefit the girls involved in the programmes. The cultural workshops were helpful and I can say I am ready to travel to Cape Town when I can. Overall, I would say that the South Africa programme cannot be much better. I highly recommend this experience and the wonderful local organization in South Africa are doing amazing work!

I am very happy with my placement. I learned a lot and developed skills I will really need in the future. It has got me thinking about the career path in urban planning that I would like to pursue. I also really liked meeting new people whether that was through the buddy program, the cultural meetings or office meetings. I feel like that is the best way to learn more about Ecuador and I really appreciated developing long lasting relationships.
