Global Internships in Greece
Program Overview
As the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, and the Olympic Games, Greece offers interns a powerful setting to explore global issues through both historical and modern lenses. Today, the country is a hub for social innovation, education, sustainable development, tourism, and nonprofit work—creating ideal conditions for meaningful professional engagement.
Most placements are based in Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest city, where ancient Byzantine landmarks coexist with contemporary art galleries, tech start-ups, and grassroots organizations. Interns contribute to projects addressing refugee integration, community development, sustainable tourism, and youth education while immersing themselves in Greek culture.
Isla welcomes university undergraduates, graduate students, and early-career professionals for career-launching internships of 9+ weeks. Work on meaningful projects with local and international NGOs, social enterprises, and organizations driving real change. You'll receive comprehensive support throughout—from personalized placement matching to one-on-one professional, logistical, and cultural guidance.
