IPBio Amazon 15-day Expedition
Program Overview
IPBio is launching a 15-day, all-inclusive expedition that combines biological research and conservation volunteering with a truly immersive experience of Brazilian culture, history, and Amazonian traditions. By exploring the region through both scientific and cultural perspectives, participants gain a deeper understanding of Amazonian ecology and the complex relationships between people, nature, and conservation. Although the expedition focuses on biology and environmental conservation, it welcomes people from all backgrounds and fields of study who are eager to learn and contribute. Our program is engaging, educational, and highly dynamic. In a single day, participants might conduct field research on fungi, take part in an Amazonian cooking class, attend a lecture on the benefits of reforestation, and finish the afternoon with a boat tour for birdwatching. Each day is filled with meaningful conservation and research activities while also showcasing the rich culture, traditions, and natural beauty of the Amazon beyond the scientific perspective, creating an experience that is both impactful and unforgettable.
