Volunteers on this NGO Support programme in Nepal work with small local organisations supporting community development across sectors such as women’s empowerment, youth services, education, public health, environment, journalism and administration. You will help under-resourced NGOs build capacity and reach broader impact by contributing skills where needed and supporting essential day-to-day tasks. You might assist with administrative work, project management support, fundraising, grant writing, community outreach, report preparation, research, public relations, or social media tasks, and with helping plan and run events or workshops. In some placements, you may also support education, women’s or youth-oriented programmes if the NGO’s focus includes those areas. This programme is ideal for volunteers with an interest or background in social work, international development, administration, communications, community outreach or non-profit operations. Volunteers should be motivated, independent, adaptable and ready to learn about the workings of grassroots organisations in Nepal. Previous NGO experience is helpful but not required.
