Join the Teaching English program in Antigua, Guatemala with International Volunteer HQ and support language learning for children and youth in under resourced communities. Volunteers assist local teachers by leading or supporting lessons in vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing and conversation. You may also help with homework support, small group activities, games and creative exercises that build confidence and make learning engaging. A short TEFL style introduction and materials are provided, so no formal experience is needed as long as you speak English confidently and enjoy working with students. This placement suits gap year travellers, students and anyone interested in education and cross cultural exchange. Your hosted experience includes airport pick up, orientation, accommodation in a volunteer house or homestay, two meals a day and support from the local team. Programs begin weekly and offer flexible durations. In your free time you can explore Antigua's colourful streets, local markets, nearby volcanoes and cultural traditions while contributing to meaningful educational development.
