Through teaching and mentoring, you will contribute to empowering women to reach school-level qualifications and build a foundation for greater independence. You will help lead English classes and basic lessons, support reading, writing and conversation practice, assist with educational materials, and help facilitate workshops on topics such as women’s rights, health, or life skills. Volunteers may also support planning and running small group activities or discussion sessions that encourage confidence, communication and personal growth. Local staff will provide guidance and a structured curriculum. This programme is ideal for English-speaking volunteers who care about equal opportunities, enjoy teaching or mentoring, and want to support disadvantaged women to improve their education and employment prospects. A TEFL certificate or teaching experience can be helpful, but is not required. Openness, patience and cultural sensitivity are the most valuable traits.
