Volunteer in Sports Development in Morocco with IVHQ
Help deliver after-school sports and recreational activities for children and teenagers in under-resourced communities. You will work with local coaches and community leaders to organise safe and inclusive opportunities for youth to play sports, build confidence and enjoy healthy movement. Your typical tasks may include planning and leading sports sessions, teaching basic games or team sports, organising fitness and recreational activities, supervising groups of children, encouraging fair play, and helping maintain sports facilities or equipment. You may also support educational workshops that combine sports with life-skills lessons. This program is ideal for energetic, motivated volunteers who enjoy sports, working with youth, and want to contribute to community wellbeing. You do not need formal coaching credentials as local staff provide support and guidance. A positive attitude, patience, and respect for local culture and children’s backgrounds are more important than experience. In your free time you can explore the region’s historic cities or coastal areas, experience Moroccan culture, enjoy local cuisine, walk through markets, and visit historic sites.
