Join the Holiday Experience program in San José, Costa Rica with International Volunteer HQ and enjoy a meaningful travel adventure combined with community immersion. Volunteers take part in a mix of light volunteer activities, cultural experiences, and local excursions around the city and surrounding regions. This program offers a flexible way for travelers, gap-year participants, or anyone curious about Costa Rica to engage with local communities while exploring new places.
Your hosted experience includes airport pick-up, a full orientation, volunteer house or homestay accommodation depending on placement, two meals daily, and 24/7 support from the local team. You also receive pre-departure guidance from your IVHQ Program Manager along with training tools to help you feel prepared for your stay.
Programs begin every Monday. Volunteers join an international community and have opportunities to discover Costa Rica’s vibrant urban culture, lush landscapes, and natural beauty while contributing in a relaxed, meaningful way.
