Program Overview
Volunteers in this project support the protection and welfare of Asian elephants in Nepal. You will assist at elephant centres or in nearby natural habitats as teams work to improve living conditions and monitor elephant health and behaviour. This role offers a chance to contribute to wildlife conservation while experiencing Nepal’s natural beauty.
Your typical duties include feeding elephants and preparing nutritious food, cleaning enclosures, helping maintain habitats, collecting data on elephant behaviour and well-being, and supporting educational awareness sessions for children and community members.
