I could not have asked for a better experience!
August 26, 2025by: Sophie HeldProgram: Affordable Internships in Belize with Intern Abroad HQNancy and Jaime were wonderful hosts and encouraged me to explore Belize while also being focused on the animals. The meals that we got on weekdays were always very good and filling. Being taken around San Ignacio on the morning of my second day helped me to learn more about the area and feel more comfortable and better adjust. I immediately felt welcomed by the whole family and the other interns, and I could not have asked for a better experience!
I especially enjoyed how hands-on this experience was.

Working daily with the animals helped me to get even more comfortable in the field of animal healthcare, and expand my knowledge through working with a variety of different animals.
