With our gap program, you will take the time to get to know yourself and what you enjoy and value so that you can focus on the academic or career path that you really want instead of choosing blindly or based on others’ expectations.

This program offers international and intercultural communication experience through a combination of Spanish classes, free cultural activities, and volunteer work in a non-profit organization in your area of choice throughout Costa Rica. You will meet new friends from around the world; get to know the diversity of this beautiful country, and become bilingual!

We recommend studying at both our beautiful campuses – colonial Heredia and beachfront Sámara – before taking your new language skills out into the real world, working part-time or full-time (depending on the placement) in one of our cooperating NGOs.
