Institute for Global Studies offers internship placements aimed at the care of people with disabilities in Thailand. The position entails helping the administrative staff care for more than 50 mentally and physically disabled people. Applicants should have a genuine interest in either disability services or English language tutoring. 

During scheduled classes, you will teach basic communication skills in English to a group. Therefore, you should be patient and compassionate as students will be quite shy at first and it may take some time for them to consider you a familiar and friendly face.

You will play a crucial role in fostering independence among persons with a disability, giving them an opportunity to help themselves. Experienced and caring staff will provide support to interns regarding any difficulties they may encounter while adjusting to the position.
