The organization's operations depend largely on volunteers and donations. Your tasks as an intern are divided between caring for disabled children in a government-built facility and in a daycare center, depending on daily needs. You could also be involved with a halfway house, helping kids with disabilities to continue living with their families by providing educational assistance. This challenging internship enables you to make a significant contribution to the lives of these children.

Placements are available all year round. Applicants must have the patience and sensitivity to deal with culturally different approaches and attitudes toward the handicapped. A dedicated, mature, and caring attitude is required.
