Institut für deutsche Sprache und Kultur e.V. an der MLU

IDSK – Institut für deutsche Sprache und Kultur has been teaching German at the source since 1996. As an affiliated institute of Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg — one of Germany's oldest universities, founded in 1502 — IDSK combines academic rigor with genuine small-city immersion that Berlin and Munich programs simply cannot replicate.

IDSK is one of the few language institutes in Germany certified to administer both TestDaF and telc examinations on-site. Students can complete an intensive language program and sit their official certification exam without leaving the institute.

IDSK operates across two locations. The Halle (Saale) campus runs intensive programs year-round in a vibrant university city of 250,000, with direct access to campus life and day trips to Leipzig (30 min), Dessau-Bauhaus (45 min), and Berlin (90 min). The Lutherstadt Wittenberg campus hosts seasonal summer and winter courses in a UNESCO World Heritage city -- the birthplace of the Reformation.
