IES Internships Rome – Full-Time Semester Internship

As a global and historic city with internship placements in finance, start-ups, the arts, and more, Rome is the perfect place for your semester-long internship abroad. Get that practical experience through IES Internships, which offer an unpaid, for-credit placement with at least 25 hours of per week for more than three months.

You will venture into a local organization or business, focusing on a field or sector that matches your career goals. This helps you forge a global network of professional contacts and obtain real-world experience while immersing in Rome’s rich cultural and historical heritage. You also will enroll in a required 3-credit academic internship seminar, conducted in English, which covers a variety of local business settings and opportunities.

Upon arrival, you will attend an orientation organized by our local staff. This includes a well-detailed introduction to Rome, commuting, cultural expectations, your internship position, and housing. The Rome Center is your central place for instruction, support, and meeting other interns.
