What’s better than spending your summer in Italy? Earning academic credit while you’re enjoying Florence! With IES Abroad’s exclusive partnership with American University of Florence (AUF) you can choose from one of four 3-week sessions throughout the summer and/or combine several sessions to create a 6-week program option. Study with an international student body in a variety of disciplines at AUF's nine schools, including hospitality, visual arts, business, architecture, Italian, and more. In just weeks, students immerse themselves in Florence, with courses that use the city as a living classroom to connect academic learning with its culture, history, traditions, and daily life.

How long can I join for?
This program has 4 sessions of which you can choose to join for only one, or up to all four.
Each session lasts 3 weeks, and you may choose from the following sessions:
Session I: Mid-May to early June
Session II: Early June - late June
Session III: Late June - mid-July
Session IV: Mid-July - early August
What is the accommodation like?
Students will live in shared double or triple apartments, with some apartments arranged for three to seven students and others arranged for 8 to 13 students. Some singles are available. All apartments have kitchen access. The average commute time is 15-30 minutes by foot to AUF’s school buildings.
Are meals provided in the program fee?
Meals are not provided but you will have kitchen access in your apartment.
Where will I take my courses?
All courses and activities are through American University of Florence (AUF). However, you'll have IES Abroad's support before and while you're abroad.
Does the program include excursions?
Students will have access to field trips offered through AUF's Educational Field Learning program. These exciting cultural journeys are normally day trips, but are occasionally an overnight trip. Trips are covered unless noted with ($). NOTE: IES Abroad field trip destinations, activities, and lengths of stay may vary according to term and availability as decided by the American University of Florence.
