Strategic Design Management in Barcelona

The Master's Degree in Strategic Design Management at IED Barcelona is built for professionals ready to operate at that intersection. This program addresses real-world challenges—inclusion, sustainability, and diversity—by combining design thinking, creative sensitivity, and business strategy into a single, cohesive framework. It is designed for designers who want to understand business and for business managers who want to unlock design's full potential for value creation.

The course uses a Learning by Doing approach, integrating Design Research, Creativity, Service and Experience Design, and Sustainability. Students benefit from personalized tutoring, multidisciplinary collaboration with peers from international programs, workshops, seminars, and two study trips to key European cities. The program culminates in a Master's Thesis Project—a strategic proposal that demonstrates research, creativity, and business vision to a professional jury.

Recognized by Forbes Spain for three consecutive years as a top 10 business school program, this master's degree prepares graduates for leadership roles in Barcelona, one of Europe's most dynamic creative cities.
