Master’s Program in Mobility Design - Turin

The Master's Program in Mobility Design: Rethinking Tomorrow's Connections at IED addresses mobility as a complex web of relationships between people, society, and the environment — shaped by the urgent sustainability challenges outlined in the UN SDGs. Held in Torino, Italy — historically the heart of Italian automotive production — the program places students at the forefront of a city actively shifting from vehicle manufacturing to integrated, sustainable mobility systems.

Using a transdisciplinary approach, the curriculum spans humanities, social sciences, digital technologies, interaction design, service design, autonomous systems, data visualization, and business innovation. Four interconnected streams — Mobility Design Skills & Methods; Body, Mind, UX & Interaction; City, Transport & Systems; and Global Chains & Flows — build competencies across micro, meso, and macro scales of mobility. Graduates leave equipped to design impactful products, services, strategies, and systems that drive sustainability, improve urban livability, and reduce inequality.
