Master's Program in Fashion Curation - Florence & Milan

Art and fashion have always spoken the same language, and the Master's Program in Fashion Curation at IED Firenze and IED Milano teaches you to translate it. This interdisciplinary master's program trains curators who can transform a garment or accessory into a complex cultural event. Students work across exhibitions, spatial reinterpretations, and publications. The program treats fashion as an artistic, social, and psychological phenomenon, not just a product.

The program is split between Florence and Milan, two of Italy's most internationally recognized cities in fashion and culture. Students gain hands-on experience through workshops, museum and archive visits, gallery tours, and collaborative projects with fashion brands and cultural institutions. The curriculum covers aesthetic and social themes, gender dynamics, sustainability, and consumption — building both curatorial skills and critical thinking. Graduates are prepared for careers in exhibition design and management, cultural heritage curation, trend analysis, fashion events, and research in fashion and costume history.
