Master’s in Fashion Curation - IED Florence & IED Milan

The one-year Master's Program in Fashion Curation offers a conceptual journey in which art and fashion meet, eliminating traditional boundaries and fostering a creative, stimulating, and interdisciplinary dialogue. It prepares you in an ever-changing sector, no longer limited to clothing, but as an all-around artistic expression. You’ll attend lessons in Florence and Milan: the two most internationally recognized Italian cities in the fashion industry.

In the context of fashion, art curators are responsible for conceiving, organizing, and managing exhibitions and installations. They explore social and cultural topics through clothing and accessories and promote emerging designers. They enhance the dynamic intersection between art and fashion, which mutually influence each other and create new expressive and commercial spaces.

Taught in English and starting in February, this course is aimed at students with a First Level Academic Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree). Applicants need a basic knowledge of art history, fashion, design principles, and visual communication tools. A highly developed aesthetic sense and the ability to conduct research and engage in critical analysis are ideal.
