Creative Cuisine in Bilbao - Summer
Program Overview
IED's Summer Course in Creative Cuisine, taught in English at IED Kunsthal Bilbao in the Basque Country, Spain, walks you through every stage of a gastronomic project. Over 2 weeks, you'll analyze avant-garde cuisine, develop a culinary concept, and design a complete gastronomic experience from the ground up — including the menu.
The course blends theory with hands-on practice. You'll study the history of cooking, its evolution, and emerging trends, while learning the latest techniques, ingredients, and processes used in innovative culinary design. The program culminates in a real gastronomic event, covering research, concept selection, experience design, production, logistics, and execution. You'll also participate in cooking shows held at the design school.
