Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design - Madrid
Program Overview
At IED Madrid, Interior Design is taught as a discipline that shapes how people live, work, and connect across physical and virtual spaces. This Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design is a four-year, 240-ECTS bilingual program that prepares students to design across a wide range of sectors: residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, wellness, culture, events, and public space.
The curriculum is highly practical. Students train in the Fab Lab, an open prototyping laboratory equipped for manual techniques such as ceramics and screen printing, and digital tools such as laser cutting and 3D printing. Active industry professionals guide the learning. In the final year, students complete a curricular work placement and a Final Degree Project with visibility on national and international platforms.
Graduates leave with a portfolio that reflects both their projects and their growth as design professionals. The degree is valid across the European Higher Education Area, equivalent to an official university degree, and provides access to master's and doctoral studies.
IED Madrid is part of an international design education network and the official school of the Madrid Design Festival.
