Academic Foundation Year - Italian Creativity in Rome

The Academic Foundation Year in Italian Creativity is a Rome-based preparatory program for students aiming to build a foundation in art, design, and fashion before higher education. The course draws on Italy's rich creative heritage and the Made in Italy tradition, combining theoretical modules with hands-on laboratory work and project-based workshops. Students engage in individual and group projects, train on industry-standard tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and receive Italian language lessons and personalized academic coaching. Students must attend at least 80% of classes to sit for exams, with tutoring and language support provided.

Beyond the classroom, students attend guided visits to fashion companies, film sets, art institutions, and cultural landmarks across Rome and other Italian cities. A dedicated tutor supports each student from enrollment to completion—coordinating with faculty, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and, for minor students, maintaining direct communication with host families. Rome, a global hub for multimedia and sustainable design, enriches the curriculum by connecting students to Italy's past and its creative future.
