This trip was a life changer for me

This trip was a life changer for me. Not only did I come home with new teaching methods that I now use in my job. I also came home more confident, self aware, courageous, self-reliant, knowledgeable, ambitious and determined.

The overall experience has been truly amazing! I am so grateful for it has happened, meeting new people, living in a new culture, and trying out experiences has been really interesting. Seeing everyday something different to what i am used to back home. Everyday has been amazing and wide opening for me in every way possible, in a unique way. This experience has changed a lot in seeing the perspective of trying new things. The internship has been a big challenge for me from when i started, it became a lot more easier as the months went by. I have grown into a new person, facing new things everyday learning from different people, more confidence, believing more in myself.

Although I wasn't quite sure what to expect coming onto project, I was happily surprised to see how impactful and wonderful the work we do is. Life on base is always fun, living and working so closely with such a diverse set of people. My highlight was being able to work so closely with such a beautiful and vibrant community.
