My experience with the Conservation program in Nosy Be Madagascar has been wonderful. It has been great seeing such biodiversity on a unique island. I enjoyed doing the herpetofauna, bird and lemur surveys and habitat assessments. Nosy Be in a jem of a location and you see and experience it!
I have grown as a person, becoming more confident in myself, surrounded by incredible people

Support has been excellent. When I've had a problem or issue I felt comfortable expressing this. I was listened to and advised. Check in's have been helpful and appreciated. The airport pick-up was incredibly helpful. It allows participants to relax and start taking in the environment. Staff were polite and welcoming as well as other participants. This made it very easy to settle into the base. Good inductions were given and great tips have been shared. Malagasy lessons were fun and interactive and it encourages me to be more interactive with the local people. The staff created a great atmosphere, singing and laughing and I've created memories I never want to forget. I have been well looked after here and will cherish these surreal memories for the rest of my life. I have grown as a person, becoming more confident in myself, surrounded by incredible, like minded and down to earth people. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Everyone was lovely and welcoming. Previous volunteers who have been here a long time are happy and friendly and easy to get along with. The base has a community feel and it is easy to be immersed and included in activities. Being on base feels like you are part of a family and it's so hard to say goodbye, it's been an amazing experience as you make new friends and explore a beautiful new culture. Staff are super helpful and understanding and make the experience enjoyable for all. Days are scheduled with routines that are easy to follow. Staff and participants are easy to get along with and they all welcoming and kind as well as helpful and informative.
