The Summer University “Green.Building.Solutions.” (GBS, 7 ECTS) specializes in first-hand ecological knowledge and engineering expertise transferred by Austria’s leading experts in architecture, design, and construction.

The program deals with the ecological, economic, technical, and social aspects of green building and construction.

Participants deepen their knowledge of passive house planning, sustainable urban development, new energy technologies, innovative architecture, and ecological design. The program includes excursions to Vienna’s best-practice buildings and projects in sustainable construction and social, sports, and cultural events. Over 30 different experts and lecturers contribute!

A group design project aims to incorporate the knowledge gained into an actual building project in Vienna, which is presented at the end of the course before the grand farewell.

Accommodation in a passive house guesthouse of OeAD student housing for the entire duration of the summer program is included. This allows you to experience living in a passive house on your own. After the program, you can stay one extra week free of charge.
