The journey begins in Kigali, Rwanda, with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial before traveling to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking experience. Travellers explore Queen Elizabeth National Park with a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its abundant wildlife and birdlife. The adventure continues to Kibale Forest National Park, known as the primate capital of the world, where visitors track wild chimpanzees and several other primates in their natural habitat. Along the way, travellers enjoy breathtaking views of crater lakes, lush forests, and traditional villages.

Trek Endangered Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Forest; Experience one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife encounters by trekking through the rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable NP for gorillas.
Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest; Explore the dense tropical forest of Kibale Forest National Park, home to one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa, and track wild chimpanzees.
Boat Safari on the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park ;Enjoy a spectacular wildlife boat cruise, where large numbers of hippos and several birds and wildlfe gather at shoreline.
Cultural Encounter with the Batwa Community; Visit the Batwa pygmy community near Bwindi; learn about their traditional forest lifestyle, music,cultural heritage while supporting local conservation.

How difficult is gorilla trekking in Bwindi?

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park involves hiking through forest terrain that can sometimes be steep or muddy. However, the trek is guided by experienced rangers and most travellers with moderate fitness can successfully complete the experience. Also, gorilla family groups are allocated according to clients preffernce; if interested in the Easy, Medium or Tough Hike accordingly.

Is the gorilla trek and chimpanzeepermit included in the safari price?

Yes, this safari package include the official gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking permit issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, which allows visitors to spend one unforgettable hour observing a mountain gorilla family.

What should I pack for this safari?

Recommended items include comfortable clothing, hiking boots, rain jacket, insect repellent, sunscreen, camera, and a small daypack for gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking activities.

When is the best time to visit Uganda for gorilla trekking and wildlif

Uganda is a year-round destination, but the best conditions for trekking and wildlife viewing are during the dry seasons from June to September and December to February, when trails are easier to navigate and animals gather near water sources.

Apart from Gorillas, What wildlife can be seen during this safari?

During your safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you may see elephants, buffaloes, lions, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and numerous bird species, especially during the boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. In addition to this you will also see the chimpanzees, several monkeys (Velvert, blue tailed, red tailed, Balck and white colubus monelkyes etc) and several bird species.
