This 4-day safari offers an unforgettable opportunity to experience one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife encounters; mountain gorilla trekking—combined with relaxation at one of Uganda’s most beautiful lakes. The journey begins in Kigali, with a meaningful visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, before travelling through Rwanda’s scenic countryside into Uganda.

The adventure continues in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where travellers trek to encounter a family of endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. The safari also includes a cultural encounter with the Batwa pygmy community, offering insight into their traditional forest lifestyle.
After the thrilling gorilla experience, the journey continues to Lake Bunyonyi, often called the “Switzerland of Africa,” here travellers can enjoy peaceful canoe rides, breathtaking landscapes, and relaxation by the lake. This short safari is perfect for travellers seeking a balance of adventure, culture, and natural beauty in East Africa.

This safari is operated by Gorilla Safari Consultants, a locally owned Uganda safari company specializing in gorilla trekking and wildlife tours across East Africa.
