Good Hope Volunteers

I participated in two programs including the Horse Trails Project as well as the Wildlife Research Project. Gaining a wide range of experience relevant to numerous species including horses, farm animals, and wildlife was fantastic! Also, the hands-on opportunities allowed me to effectively acquire knowledge while contributing to animal health and conservation which was extremely rewarding. Furthermore, the accommodation and food arrangements were excellent as well even though I volunteered during the pandemic. I would definitely recommend Good Hope Volunteers to anyone who would like to make an impact pertaining to animal welfare or conservation.

The volunteer project that I chose was Caring For Elderly. I am a nurse here in Brazil and I specialize in adult and elderly health. My intention was to gain experience in the area, learn about a new culture, improve my English and live new experiences. I chose Good Hope because it is an internationally renowned school. The reality of elderly in Africa is quite different from what I knew in Brazil. My experience was incredible, I learned a lot, I lived the love of neighbor, brought new knowledge and it was an exchange of experiences among nursing African professionals. It was sad to have to leave Africa due to the corona virus crisis, but it was a rewarding experience. I hope to came back to Cape Town in next few months to conclude my mission! Thank you Good Hope for the opportunity. It was a great adventure!

I was allowed to work for two months in the volunteer project Safe Haven- Out of Africa, Children Fondation. This project includes five inspiring places where children live in South Africa. I was allowed to visit the fascinating school for the deaf several times and tried my skills more and more in sign language. I visited the school for the blind and gave my attention to the children who are excluded or even killed outside this school. I also went to the City of Refuge and met many people of different ages and saw how they are striving for a better and new life. I visited two different day care centers in the townships of Langa. I admired the way the teacher with very little resources. I became aware of how different the available resources are, or the norms and customs of my culture and this one in South Africa. But what struck me, what always remains the same, are the children. The children have welcomed me lovingly in all projects. They were patient with me even though communication was not always easy. They were grateful and appreciated that I was interested in them. And I am sure that I made an impression. Even if it was only my appearance that remains in their memory. I didn't always feel insanely needed by the teachers but I knew every day that I was doing this for the children. The children who have to grow up without parents, who have to live with fear day after day, the children who don't get a hug from an adult every day, who tell them how proud they are of their child. I have seen that most of the time the capacity was not there to give the children the attention they deserve as any child. I am therefore happy to have been able to give these children a smile, affection and loving attention during these two months. It was the right decision to organize my stay with Good Hope Volunteers. I always knew that Good Hopes was behind me and that I could approach them at any time. I am satisfied with my entire stay and will return after this "world crisis" and finish what I started. I was a volunteer at the Lifeline Clinic in Namibia and it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. I am really grateful for everything I learned and lived there. It was indescribable to be able to get to know incredible and welcoming people who were trying so hard to help the community and to ensure a decent and humane health care. I am also really grateful for everyone from GoodHope volunteers that helped me throughout everything. A special thanks to Vanessa and Bridget from Cape Town who were prepared to handle anything. It was such a great experience that I believe changed me for better! Thank you!

The month in South Africa is really beyond my exception. I thought it may be boring or difficult to spend this month, but this trip is incredible!!! I was kind of stressful because of last school year and some tests, the time in Africa gave me a time get rid of the pressures and even all the technologies. There was no signal and sometimes the electricity didn’t work. I’m so pleasure to live there for that month. The kids were nice and patient to help me to skate and play with me, the local people took care of me, and there were always people there to teach me how to do gardening work and take me to the river for a walk. I planted my own vegetable in the small garden! Before I went to Africa, I had never woke up at 4 a.m. to hike to the mountaintop for the sunrise and spend the whole afternoon read by the river. There are so many things I would like to share with you that the trip and the people there are wonderful! I won’t forget the wonderful time in South Africa. The month that I've spent in South Africa is a time that I'll never forget. I've met so many cool new people from various different countries that were all super nice. The animals in the sanctuary were my favorites. From cheetahs to monkeys to birds, there were so many animals that I've never seen before and never imagined to ever be so close to them. Also the South African landscape and the cities we got to see were so beautiful and different. I can't wait to go back someday and explore more of this truly amazing country.

It was a unique experience that I will never forget. I made friends for life. South Africa is absolutely stunning and just being able to take care and give love to those amazing animals was so heartwarming. We had to work really hard (and get up really early) to satisfy the needs of the animals, to prepare the food, feed them and clean the enclosures, but it was all worth it! It felt amazing to be able to help them, even if just for a little while. It is a feeling that can’t be explained, you really have to experience it. I loved to play and cuddle with the dogs in the lodge on our free time. I completely fell in love with South Africa and I really miss it and the friends I made there! Can’t wait to go back and do more volunteering!

I can't express how grateful I am for everything that I got there. It was exactly what I wanted, a place where I could learn, where I had the chance of developing autonomy but also an environment where I had all the support that I could need, the safety I needed to enjoy everything without any concern. All that was provided by Good Hope Volunteers. The best thing, what I will never forget, was the opportunity to meet such amazing people: the people from Good Hope, the other volunteers, the people who worked regularly where I was volunteering. They will inspire me to be the best person that I can forever!

It was my first time traveling alone to another country and was the best trip of my life. The project is really nice, there's a lot to do I did great friendships and the coordinators of the project helped us with everythig and we were never alone. I want one day to be able to return.

This was a life- changing experience. It is hard work on the boat. But seeing the wild living animals was awesome!! The free time activities were bad! We had lectures when we had a day off and dead penguin or shark sections. I thought we could see something from South Africa during our free time.

I volunteered in Christine Revells Children’s Home in Athlone. It was the most wholesome, exciting and enjoyable 8 weeks of my life. Between exploring Cape Town’s obvious tourist attractions to spending my Thursday's in Observatory at beer pong to trying to decide where to take the children in Wednesday’s, I feel like I explored so much of the beautiful place. I’ve met amazing people from South Africa and I know will be in my life forever. I still keep in touch with those I met that were also volunteering in Cape Town and we always talk about how much we miss the magical place. Working in the children’s home changed my life for the better. The laughs and fun I had with the all the staff there only made me respect them more than I already did. Myself and two other volunteers would take a few children out on our day off inn Wednesday and bring them some place they’d never been before! It was a way for us to get to spend uninterrupted time with the children but also to explore a new place we hadn’t been before! It was the highlight of my week trying to see which children to take out and where to go. Can’t express into words how much I miss the staff, all of the children and Cape Town in general. Couldn’t recommend this project more as it definitely changed who I am for the better. The only downfall to my trip is that 8 weeks was too short so I’m currently planning my return!

To begin, Naankuse is a unique and incredible place. The people are super passionate and really love every individual animal. The atmosphere is super relaxed and the other volunteers are amazing. The uniqueness of this experience is mostly based on the fact that you are so close to the animals, for example: you walk with baboons, who grasp your hand and allow you to carry them around in your arms. When horse riding you come so close to the giraffe’s that you can almost touch them. The tent, where you sleep in, is quite comfortable and gives enough comfort. Despite all of this, I cannot leave this unsaid: you will not make a significant impact as an individual. There are a lot of volunteers and your group contain can 2-5 volunteers. Some tasks/activities are just for recreation, such as the horse riding. The total group of volunteers can even rise to 50 volunteers, which is too much in my opinion. In conclusion, as an individual you will not make a big impact, but as a collective you definitely do. Keep that in mind if you go there. If you want to learn more about the animals and conservation in general while having a really great time, than you’ve found the right place. But if you want to make a big impact as an individual, than I wouldn’t recommend naankuse.

It was a very good experience for me. I learned a lot about the people how they live there, about the culture and how blessed I am in Switzerland. I had issues with the communication between Hulda/ Raymond, the schools and me. What I really loved was to work with the kids. They are amazing and mad my day better. Sometimes the facilities/ infrastructure were a little bit difficult at the schools. One school don't have a field where we could play and the teachers from the school complaint, when we played to close to the class rooms but I had no other choice. In the school I felt save but not on the football field. Thats why I decided to go only in the morning to the schools. I skipped the afternoon at the field. Hulda and Raymond do a great job and I know it is not easy. They also have great ideas but have not the time to implement the new ideas. I enjoyed to work at the schools but I also think I payed to much for the whole program. For me could be more P.E. classes in the morning because sometimes I had only 2x 40min and then we were done. I had a lot of lessons they were skipe because of different reasons. I learned a lot about myself and the difference between the countries. I think for me it was a good opportunity.

I've been in Indigo Skate Camp - Valley of a thousand hills for 2 weeks, and I would say that I wanted to stay more. In a short time I learnt a Life there! The kids are amazing, they really enjoyed all the activities that we made it! The most incredible insight it was to lived joy in a simple and creative afternoon with them. And they were just happy. Everyday! I would say that everything that makes those kids live with proposal for the future it must be cherished. They are the future. I'm really thankful for Good Hope Volunteers team that have had supported me during the program! Dallas Oberholzer, founder of Indigo Skate Camp has such an amazing heart. Uncle and Tabis( local staff) that I used to work everyday with, Amazing people too, always smiling! Everyone that I met there it will stay in my memories forever.

Being part of "the Surfer Kids" was such an amazing experience. The program really has a great impact on the kids and teaches them valuable life skills. Spending time with the kids and getting to know them was incredible and I also got to improve my surfing skills. I can definitely recommend it!!

Being at Na'ankuse working for animals and with great people feels like we have done something in our life and it s so good. The foundation is amazing and when you are there you feel connected to the wild, to the roots, to only important things.

I was glad to be a part of this wonderful project that impacts other’s lives directly. This experience has changed my life forever. To be in contact with a different culture and different people and to live their lives for 2 weeks was amazing. You get to see those kids that don't have many opportunities in their lives but are always happy and with a smile in their faces. This is absolutely incredible to see how privileged we are and to appreciate everything that I have. They are amazing and it's awesome to see them challenging themselves every day with the surfing and skating - with no fear of anything. Thanks for the opportunity to be part of this amazing initiative. I could refresh my soul and now my energy is totally different, I can feel it. Thanks for everything I recommend 100% this project and I'm totally sure that it’s going to change your life forever.

Our first experience as volunteers at Naankuse in Namibia was incredible. The staff, the organisation, the involvement of people were amazing. As volunteer you participate to the longevity of the sanctuary. You have the chance to be so closed to the wildlife you could ever imagine and not as simple tourist but as actor. Everything you do there, is for the well-being of the animals and not just to satisfy your own curiosity. I really encourage people to go there: you will live something unique that you will never forget !

This was one of the best times of my life. I learned a lot about conservation of the environment, but what was really the most precious thing for me was that I got to meet people from several different countries! And Cape Town is a wonderful place, I do hope to come back and get to know even more about this city and this marvellous country.

It was an exceptional experience! The project gave me a lot more than I expected and was totally in line with the expectations I had. I learned a lot of different things while being in a magnificent setting and with superb people. All very kind to each other. I had a wonderful month, full of discoveries and encounters. I think I'll go back there one day, this place is really exceptional.

To be a volunteer in South Africa is something everybody should do at some time in their life. You feel helpful and the children teach you more than anything else. I will certainly be back.

It was amazing, having that kind of relationship with the animals, taking care of them and also meeting new people that are also wanting to do something good is really a unique experience.

If you like horses and enjoy taking care of them, this is the best place to go! I was working here for 4 weeks and all day long I was with the team. During the morning you groom horses, check everything is okay and most of the times there are some trails to go on. Sometimes I rode horses during the trails. Often depending on what needed to be done in the afternoon, we took care of the whole farm.

I was a very great experience in the middle of big cats which allowed me to disconnect and see something else in my life. To be in contact with animals and to be able to help them, was a very good expérience. The country was amazing and the people were very nice. I learned a lot of things about animals and on myself.

I like the way how you can choose and combine different options of your program (school, volunteer, free time). Of course it depends on your program. On the whole it was a nice experience for me. Unfortunately, I was not informed in advance, what exactly is in my project. So it was not quite as expected, which disappointed me a little. The information from the volunteer itself you get very shortly before. It's a great experience to meet new people and make friends. And of course to trainee to speak english fluently.

i had the best time in Cape Town. The people were great and there were so many things to do that it was endless to get to know everything. It was one of the best experiences of my life. I am sure going to return. The natural resources that are available are amazing. The landscapes and the sky were my favorite things.

It was an experience of a lifetime that I will carry with me throughout my days! The way I was received at the project and made to feel at home during my stay made a big difference. South Africa got me and it is hard to say goodbye to all of this!

My experience in Cape Town was definitely much more than I was expecting in many aspects. First of all, the people are very friendly and receptive all the time. The social activities offered by the school were fantastic and they were the best way of knowing more about the history of Cape Town as well as knowing more about the people, and a great way of visiting different places. The volunteer experience at Woodside Care Centre will be forever in my heart! I was lucky to have the chance of working in a place full of love and generosity with fantastic people around me. More than this, I had the chance of taking part in another volunteering project once a week "OBS Pasta Kitchen" was a very touching opportunity of meeting people, sharing experience, and helping to serve food to homeless people. Summarizing, the environment is beautiful, the vibration is fantastic, and the people are amazing! Cape Town will be always in my heart.

Doing volunteer work in Cape Town for me was a great and challenging experience that changed my view of the world. I really involve on both my social and spiritual side. When I was with the kids on both volunteers work that I did during my staying in Cape Town, I saw that they needed attention and love, so I gave this two simple things to them and always was a grateful sensation that I felt. If you love to stay with give and give a little of your time to them, please, do volunteer work. You will see how grateful and beautiful this kind of work is.

The two and a half month I spent here went by too quickly! Whether it was at school or at my project at the Care Centre I really enjoyed my stay. Exploring Cape Town and making a lot of new friends during my free time made the whole experience perfect.

I decided to come to Cape Town very spontaneously and consequently did not know what to expect at all. When I arrived I immediately fell in love with the city, its beautiful views and beaches. I especially enjoyed the combination of working in the morning and discovering Cape Town in the afternoon. This way I didn’t only experience Cape Town as a tourist but also got the chance to talk and interact with people from here and other countries. Thank you so much for the last 4 weeks I had an amazing time!

I spent two weeks at African Dawn and had such a great time there that it was hard to leave all the animals, friends and managers behind. I learned a lot from that project and I will never forget what I experienced there. Thanks Good Hope for making it possible!

The Centre for Endangered Species changed my life in the best way. I could not have imagined working with better people every day. I absolutely loved this place, the accommodation, the food, and animals were great! At this project you feel like family with everyone there, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

It was the most beautiful experience in my life. I met some people who were just incredible and the Horse Trail Experience is really an amazing place for a volunteer mission. They give you the opportunity to do a lot of the thing if you prove you're a strong person. The people are really friendly and lovely and I will miss everything.

It is very hard work and it may not be what you first think of and "African volunteering program", but it is as important and as exciting. African Dawn has mostly birds and other smaller animals, but it definitively is not less fun because of that. I learned so much and discovered so many animals here. This is probably the only place you can say it's your task to "give love" to a wild pig (Hugo!) or that you can have a meerkat and a squirrel spooning on your lap. It is worth every walk up the hill with a box of plates and a heavy watering can.

This project has taught me a lot about marine life, but not only! We participated in many scientific projects about animals from the ocean as well as the coast, but also cleaned some places, found out new ways of recycling and helped to save water. Taking care of where we live is something that we often hear about, but the project actually acts and this is an amazing opportunity to take part in. Moreover the team is always motivated and passionate. It is also easy to fill the rest of the week with other activities as Plettenberg Bay is on the Garden Route; a place famous for their safaris and many other things. So come to help and enjoy yourself!

I have no words that could describe my short, but amazing experience in Cape Town. My heart is filled with beautiful memories at the places I've visited, the people I've met and of course the smiles of the kids that I had the honour to meet at the Children's Hospital. I feel nothing but gratefulness and hope I'll come back soon!

I’ve planned on doing this for so long and I’m glad I finally did it. It was by far the best time I have ever had. I miss them so much and I think about this place every single day. I’m still in touch with the staff and they are still telling me how much they miss me and they want me to come back. It became home away from home. I will always remember what one of them told me: „It is not a good bye, it is a see you later!

It was a big challenge because everything here is different but I learned a lot during the two months.

Being outside in the nature the whole day, watching animals, counting and feeding them is so much fun. You work with the coolest people ever. They teach you so many things about animals and nature. It's incredible how much I learned and I'm very thankful for that! I had such a great time and I wish I could have stayed longer!

The volunteering was a huge opportunity of a personal growing for me. Because of it, I came back home a better person than when I left.

This experience was quite unique, as we had to face some challenges that probably no other volunteers will ever have too, but I also had the opportunity to discover a project with an amazing potential. The Na'ankuse Lifeline Clinic is a wonderful clinic, where doctors and volunteers do the best to help the San community. It isn't always easy with the staff or the infrastructures, but I still had a great time helping as I could on the medical and cleaning sides of the clinic. I think the clinic needs some more help from the association in order for the experience to be better and to allow the doctor and the volunteers to do more outreach and be more responsible for the community, as it is to help it that they came. However, I still learned a lot and felt that I helped, on the short time that I was there, and I met wonderful people. I will never forget these two weeks, and the people with whom I faced all these adventures.

I had an amazing experience in South Africa! Cape Town's a beautiful place, where I did so many activities, offers by the school. African Dawn in Port Elizabeth was a super experience. I worked with a lot of different animals and there were very good vibes. In general, during my trip, people were very friendly and helpful. I felt safe because people were very caring with me. The work in African Dawn was hard and long sometimes but I was so closed with animals, it was really nice. I recommend this program!

Wow! I was the group leader. I had three adults and ten male high school students. Good Hope Volunteers exceeded my expectations. This is the second community service trip I have organized with Good Hope, First, Vanessa with Good Hope is amazingly organized. Every detail was attended to and she tailor made certain sites I requested for the group. Second, she finds amazing partners. The Lodge we stayed at in J-Burg was perfect and then the accommodations in the Botswana bush were absolutely amazing. We were on the Tuli reserve in “huts” out in the wild. The students (10) had an absolute blast. Third, the community service program was educational, interactive and FUN. We spent four wonderful days working with two elementary schools. The project was finite, well organized and rewarding. THANK YOU

I had a great time at African Dawn despite that in May we were only a few volunteers and had a lot of work to do. I enjoyed working with all the different animal species. On my days off I had the opportunity to try out many activities near and in Jeffreys Bay. It would have been a bit cooler to be in a bigger group then but I still made some new friends and we are already planning our next trip together!

Hi all. I volunteered at Kwantu Game Reserve for a month at the end of last year. This was an awesome experience as it was my first trip overseas. I had not done any experience like this before, and was pleased with the results. I made many international friends and was able to come home with lasting memories shared with so many others. It was hot most days, and we were working every week day as a team for a good cause, and went out to different town on the weekend to explore. It was always a relaxed environment and no one was pushed to their limits, but everyone was encouraged to participate and challenge themselves. Everyone took as long as they needed to adjust to the new surroundings, and were there for their own reasons. I decided to do this to coincide with my ongoing University degree in the environment and conservation. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity journey, and would do it again somewhere else for another new and exciting experience that I may not otherwise get to discover. Thank you to those who helped make this trip happen for me, and I hope more people get the chance to try something like this for themselves at some stage in life.

Lovely place. Everyday is amazing, I learned many things about the animals and have the opportunity to see really close most of the big 5. All team is kind and helpful. The camp is clean and calm. They care about the animals, and sometimes we can help the vet

I‘ve volunteered for 2 weeks at the Naankuse Lifeline Clinic in Epukiro Namibia, a 4 hours drive from Windhoek. I wasn‘t very well prepared regarding the accomodation, the remoteness and that there would be no other volunteers/second doctor/nurse at the time I was there but that was probably bad timing.. apart from that it has been an amazing experience and - especially thanks to the very nice and chatting UK doctor who was there - I‘ve learned so much, saw lots of patients and could help with cleaning, cooking, medical examinations, babysitting and playing with the local kids who turned up every day which was so cute and fun.

I've really enjoyed volunteering in Cape Town in the project Cape Nature Conservation. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of people, I've improved my abilities about environmental education with communities and understood how the African life work between environmental issues and cities' growth. This project of conversation has huge challenge and I've given my best on it.

My experience was very amazing and the meeting animals like cheetah and to help baboons and children at school gave me a lovely feels. Thank you for you program and your attention about safety during.

Visiting South Africa was a dream, and I couldn't turn it into reality in a better way than I did, because the volunteering project provided me a more complete vision of it. I was able to connect with amazing people, who showed me their culture and I learned a lot from the kids who I had the honour to play with at the Children's Hospital. I miss them every single day since I came back... Good Hope Studies provided me an excellent residence, and the social club activities are also great, because I got to know everything that I planned to and even more! I met incredible people and visited the most beautiful places I've ever been to. I can't wait to go back to Cape Town, because I truly feel that my heart belongs to this city.

Going to South Africa has always been one of those things I used to say "I'm definitely doing that someday" but never actually made an effort - either because I thought it was way too expensive or for the lack of information about how things worked there. Joining volunteer work with my desire to know the country was the best say I could've done this. The work at African Dawn itself can be very tiring and physical, but you get so much in return it's insane! I still miss the animals to this day. GHV has made the experience much easier with all its support. :)

It was amazing for me! My best experience. I met a lot of great people and I improved my english. Thank you for all and i wish to go to South Africa again. I loved all the teachers, especially Maz, who helped me a lot!

I was in Africa, in a rehabilitation center. It was amazing! I was with a lot of wonderful animals! I also met a lot of amazing people. The place was beautiful. I think it was one of the best experience of my life.

Participate to the project “Ocean Conservation” makes me find out the work of scientists! Helping them to protect the world where we leave was amazing and opened my mind about my future. I’ve learned a lot about many subjects which were unknown to me before and I’ve also discovered some solutions to actual environmental problems. Simple action can be useful for the earth ! I was also surprised to understand how much volunteers are important to keep the project alive; they need people! It was a rewarding and unforgettable experience !!

To be in the middle of no where make you feel very small and make you realise that we need to do something to help our planet. The farm is a beautiful place where I did feel like home . The coordinator have a lot a knowledge. They were very helpfull and they were doing as much as they could to make us believe in their passion.They were a great team all of them in different ways. I really learned a lot about nature and wildlife. The only thing I didn't really enjoy, too many volunteers, I wasn't expecting that... even if I understand that all the money is coming in help the farm to get on. My time in Namibia will stay in my heart for ever.

I had a great time working with the kids from Katatura! It was an experience I will definitely never forget! We had always so much fun, thinking about the next exercise we could give the kids and then watching them managing it...They were so happy to see you each single time, that’s what made it so great!

For me African Dawn is not a sanctuary, it's more like a zoo. I felt like a slave there. The managers don't explain for us the job in our first day, it's the other volunteer who do it, so sometimes this is a problem. And they have a lot of animals, but they don't have a vet, for me this is really worse, no one knows how the animals are, and I saw some of them sick and the managers give medicine for them without a vet suport. The place is completely different than that was writing in the paper that you send me.

It was just an amazing experience, 3 perfects months. I met so many people, and I miss them so much .. The animals were so cute and I really miss them as well .. I really would like to do it again. I have no words to describe this experience.. but I know that I will come back for sur. I love South Africa.

The program absolutely full filled my expectations. The reason why I chose the Shark project was for sure the sharks in the first place. I wanted to learn more about that beautiful species and wanted to get a closer look and first hand experience in that not so average business. It was an unbelievable experience and having close encounters with marine animals and especially with different kind of sharks almost every day is not to be put in words. I got to learn a lot about Marine Biology. The Marine Biologists definitely put a lot of effort in to teach us some very important stuff that is necessary when you study marine life (Presentations, data collecting on the boat and at local estuaries, catch and release of small sharks such as Pyjama sharks). An extra plus was working with tourists from all around the world and spreading the word to change their minds about those apex predators. The moment I got there I noticed how much they care for the ocean and our earth. We did a couple of beach clean ups, we cleaned their fishing line bins and even got to build our own. Every time we were out on sea and they found a piece of plastic they stopped and collected it. They are taking it very seriously which I thought is the best thing that can happen to this world. At this project education didn’t stop with Marine Biology. I got to work at their local penguin and seabird rehabilitation center and even got to do and assist the vet at an autopsy of a juvenile Penguin they found dead on one of their eco tourism tours. Even got to release two of their rescued African Penguins! Also our free time was filled with fun staff. Most of the time we had great weather so No-Sea-Days didn’t happen a lot. But when we had to face a No-Sea-Day due to a certain kind of wind we got to hike, did horseback riding and quad tours. Every Monday we had a Braai which meant that our Coordinators spend the evening with us and sometimes even one of our Marine Boilogists joined in. I got to experience a lot of quality time! The best time I’ve ever had and definitely the best decision I’ve ever made. I even got a really good friendship with one of the other volunteers out of that experience. So so grateful for everything.

I really enjoyed the experience as a whole. Cape Town is a beautiful city to do tourism, and work as a volunteer was a amazing self-development experience. I felt like I was helping me and other people at the same time.

It was amazing to be in contact with another culture, talk with people of different places in the world, work closely to animals feeding and giving love to them. The places in South Africa are so beautiful, the safari, Cape Town, Jeffreys bay.. everything. I will never forget this experience!!

Hi! I´m Kamila Malinowski from Mexico City. In January of this year I had the opportunity to participate as a volunteer at Naankuse Wildlife Conservation as a solo traveler and it was the best decision of my life! Definitely being able to work with wild animals so close has been the best experience! I had the chance to meet incredible people from all over the world. It's amazing how all the workers and volunteers welcome you as a family. Working with this beautiful and docile animals is an experience I will never forget!
