Seeing the immediate impact of our efforts
June 01, 2024by: MilaDuring my volunteering with the GOECO and IMPACT in the marine conservation program, one of the most memorable experiences was participating in cleaning up plastic and wet wipes from the ocean. To work with volunteers and the local dive team that care about the ocean was so important for me, and to see the amount of waste that we collected from the water was both shocking and motivating. Seeing the immediate impact of our efforts reinforced the importance of marine conservation work and left a lasting impression on me. Thank you for everything.

Scuba diving with all the volunteers was great as we were able to see many fish and help rescuing plastic from under the ocean- where its most complicated.

The volunteer work, the local team and facilities are way beyond my expectation. Nice environment and living situation, the local coordinators are very hospitable. I had a lot of fun while learning and working during my stay. It was overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend to other people.

What does the program include and what extra costs should I consider?
The program includes dormitory accommodation, two meals per day, airport transfers, and professional support. Flights, visas, dinner, travel insurance, personal expenses, and daily transportation to the program site are not included.
