Nepal - Teaching in Buddhist Monasteries

Explore beautiful Nepal, home to eight of the ten largest mountains in the world, including Mount Everest. Take a trip back in time when you visit the famous city of Kathmandu and navigate its winding, unpaved roads lined by terracotta-roofed homes. Nepal is a unique experience that you do not want to miss!

Volunteers on this project will live near the monastery and teach English to the monks there a few hours each day. These monks are both children and adults, all of whom seek an interactive and all-inclusive learning environment. Volunteers' responsibilities may include assisting a local teacher, teaching a class of their own, coming up with creative and fun lesson plans and organizing after-school games and activities for the children
