Free the Bears is a non-profit organization. Established in 1995, where we have grown into one of the world's most effective wildlife conservation organizations, working across Southeast Asia to combat illegal wildlife trade and providing lifelong care for rescued bears. We are committed to protecting, rescuing, and rehabilitating vulnerable bear species from the cruel threats of wildlife exploitation. Operating sanctuaries in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, we specialize in the rescue of Moon Bears (Asiatic Black Bears), Sun Bears, and Sloth Bears where many of which are victims of poaching, bear bile farming, or exotic pet trades.
