Maybe the best job I've ever had. Everyone is treated with care and respect. They are so accommodating and helpful to those coming to a foreign place. You are challenged to an appropriate level and in a way that improves your professional and personal performance. The entire unit works together as a team brilliantly to maximize everybody's ability.

I'm in my 3rd contract with Flying English, and it's been amazing to be a part of this family. Everyone here is treated with respect, and our opinions are valued. The management here supports us greatly in training, teaching-related matters, and also with things outside of school, such as sending us supplies and helping with personal matters, making sure we're all well taken care of during the lockdowns. From managing the day-to-day, to issues from the covid pandemic, I think their actions speak volumes with regard to their teaching/management philosophy, which translates to improved quality of teaching for the students and a great experience for the teachers. Like many others entering a new country and field, I believe a bad first experience will turn the passion for teaching sour, while a good experience would provide the energy and fuel to continue forward. And Flying English, definitely belongs in the latter half here. My overall experience here is nothing short of excellent, and I highly recommend this school, especially for those looking for new beginnings teaching English in Shanghai.

When I graduated from university, I really wanted to indulge in something different. I knew teaching English abroad could be that 'different' that I needed, but the process for finding a school to work for was grueling. I went through so many interviews (yes, even the shady ones) and none of them felt right until I interviewed with Flying English. It was clear that our values aligned and that they had my best interest in mind. After the call, I knew this was the school for me. Being able to teach with Flying English has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I've ever had. It was an opportunity that really nurtured my growth. I feel extremely fortunate that I was able to find a school that really cares about their employees. They go out of their way to provide you with all the resources you need to make your transition into Shanghai seamless. I felt reassured knowing that I had this kind of support. In addition, all the other teachers and teaching assistants were amazing to work with. It felt like a family. Since it's a smaller school, you're really able to cultivate more meaningful and personable connections with everyone, including your students. These intimate learning environments allowed me to understand my students individually, which made my job that much more fulfilling. Flying English has offered me so many wholesome and rewarding experiences. I would recommend this school to anyone in a heartbeat.

I came to China in 2018 to do the TEFL course. Immediately after finishing I was offered the job at Flying English. I didn’t know much about the school at the beginning but I ended up staying two years. My colleagues became my closest friends and I learnt so much about teaching as I went along. I acquired wonderful students who I thoroughly enjoyed teaching. I’d 100% recommend this school to anyone who’s thinking about joining.

After moving to Shanghai to get my TEFL certification, I was unsure how to continue my time and teaching in the city. Working at Flying English was flexible and provided the support I needed to make a living, make friends and connections, and explore teaching! Everyone was so welcoming and excited, and will help you in any way you might need. The students all have a place in my heart and I can't imagine my experience anywhere else. If you are looking for a family and a place to grow and teach in Shanghai, look no further!

Flying is one of the best English schools to work at. Everyone has tried their best to be welcoming and helpful, even outside of work. I've gotten help with housing negotiations, delivery, bills, and even basic phone calls from my coworkers and my boss. Everyone is also passionate about making sure that the students learn as much as possible, without any gimmicks. There's a real sense of bonding here since the staff is smaller. The staff is also well connected, if one is interested in networking. Of the training school teachers I've talked to, the ones at Flying have consistently been the happiest. I feel pretty fortunate to be working here, and would suggest it to anyone interested and qualified.

Absolutely love the environment here at Flying English. After spontaneously moving to Shanghai, I realized what better than to pursue my childhood dream of becoming a teacher. Anna and John helped guide in the right direction for where to live, what to do, and helped me better understand the culture. My colleagues are now my closest friends and we learn from each other every day. I've been here for nearly 2 years now and I don't plan on leaving any time soon.

Flying English provides a warm environment with a great community of teachers and fantastic teacher to student ratio. Teachers work together to develop the curriculum and there is a wide variety of tools for supporting both beginner and veteran staff. Flying English is a fine opportunity for growth, both for aspiring teachers and young students.

Working aboard in China has been an experience of a lifetime. I have been at Flying English for about 3 years and have see major transformations of growth. The staff here are close to each other and do really care for the children's education. The base salary is comparable to other training schools with the exception that FE has great bonuses and overtime after 72 teaching hours a month. What i really like about them is the support and helpfulness of everyone when I first started. Everyone gives each other ideas on how to teach new subjects. They also have free Chinese classes and company trips once a year for all teachers which is great because it helps build a connection and kind of brings out the teachers to hang out with each other. Altogether, this is a great place to work.

I first came to Shanghai unsure if I could survive and enjoy teaching in China. When I started working at Flying English all my fears subsided. They have been incredibly helpful with my living arrangement and adjusting to life in Shanghai. The kids are a joy to work with and it is a great environment to teach in. I did not have experience teaching before I started working here. They have been very helpful to my development as a teacher. I would 100% recommend working here!

Flying English excels at providing a convenient and comfortable work environment. It also maintains reasonable classroom sizes and a variety of support resources. It boasts a strong community of teachers and an overall warm environment for both staff and students alike.

Teaching in Shanghai is a great experience. The city itself is so diverse. Teaching the children who live in such a multilingual city has been very rewarding and it has been a great learning experience for myself too! I highly recommend it :)
