Europass Italian Language School

The course is completely disorganised. No course materials provided. No set learning program so you can't do any prereading. Classes just run continuously so there is no start and no finish and therefore no logical sequence for learning. No real teaching occurs - just completing exercises with the tutor. Terrible experience and complete waste of money.

I had the pleasure of studying Italian at Europass Italian Language School in Florence, and it was an unforgettable experience. The school is located in a historic building in the heart of Florence, which creates a truly unique atmosphere for learning. The classrooms at Europass are fully equipped with everything a student needs to learn Italian effectively, despite not being modern. They are spacious, comfortable and provide an inspiring environment for learning. The school's attention to detail is evident in everything, from the quality of the teaching materials to the extra support provided outside of the classroom. The teachers at Europass are exceptional. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to helping students achieve their language learning goals. The lessons are well-structured, engaging, and tailored to the needs of each student. Europass also offers a range of cultural activities and excursions, including visits to museums, guided tours of the city, and cooking classes. These activities provide an excellent opportunity to practice speaking Italian in a real-life context and to immerse oneself in Italian culture.

Friendly people and good courses. Also offers for the free time in the afternoon and on weekends and a free yoga course. Its a place where i really like to learn and not feeling like I am in school.

I loved my study abroad experience in Florence where I could learn about Italian culture! It was an amazing opportunity to take different classes with different teachers during the month I have spent there. I will come back, mark my words!

I enjoyed the interactive and experiential learning activities and the very beautiful lesson we did with our teacher. I have mainly done private lessons, but I have also enjoyed the few group lessons I have done. Great interaction and collaboration between the students and the instructor.

Everything - the quality of the teachers, the curriculum, the front-desk staff...everyone was very competent, professional, friendly, and helpful. And most of all, the classes were excellent - I learned a great deal.

I have been coming to Firenze for 30 years and have studied at 3 different language schools. Europass is now my choice every time! The instructors are kind, patient, creative and are masters at their craft. The teaching style is clear, concise, and understandable to all ages. The administration staff is friendly, responsive, and welcoming. The extra activities are available to all students no matter at what level they are learning. The teaching materials are well thought out. The best part, I think, is the general feeling of being a part of a school full of like minded people who understand that by learning another language we are opening cross cultural relationships, and that will only make this world a more connected and inclusive place to live! I have decided to improve my knowledge by attending the course in Florence, the town where the best Italian is spoken and where Renaissance was born. All those who love Art must visit it! Europass was my first choice. The school is located in the centre of Florence, quite near from the cathedral. I can only think of when I'm coming back for another course with them. I've had three teachers and all of them are fantastic, always with a smile on their faces. They care for each student to learn and correct our mistakes. They really prepare a lot of optional activities for students of all ages to enjoy Florence to the fullest. This school has everything! Professional and passionate teachers, well maintained rooms, lots of exciting activities every week, very good location and perfect amount of students in the classroom even during COVID. I would definitely recommend this to others that want to learn Italian, because here you learn fast, and you learn a lot in a short amount of time!

I have really enjoyed my time at Europass. Teachers are not only extremely good at explaining things, but they show their passion and their ability to motivate students and create a fun learning environment. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who would like to learn or improve Italian language and culture. Everything is very well organized and there are lots of trips and social events which are great for making new friends.

I studied at Europass and it was a great time. I chose the standard courses (20 hours per week). Every morning from 9:00 to 12:30. It may seem like a lot… but the time has passed really quickly. The teachers are super nice and close to the students. The organization of the school is first order, everyone knows everyone. There are many activities to do to enjoy both the city and Italy. Recommend it without hesitation.

I’ve been doing an Italian Language and Cooking Holiday with Europass and have been so satisfied with my experience so far! I can see so much improvement in my language skills just after two weeks in the beginner class. I’ve also really loved taking advantage of some of the guided tours they offer around the city of Florence- the guides are so knowledgeable and speak slow enough for me to understand a good amount. I’d highly recommend Europass!

Wir waren in unserer Sprachniveaugruppe wirklich eine gute Gemeinschaft. Die verschiedenen Kulturen wurden toll in den Unterricht, der sehr abwechslungsreich war, eingebunden und man durfte viel dazu lernen.

Great location, amazing teachers and a wonderful community. The teachers are all native Italians and really make you feel welcome in beautiful Florence and enthused about learning their language. I have met so many people of different ages and cultures and have loved being part of this fantastic community in such a beautiful location.

For me this was the most efficient way of learning as much as I can about the Italian language in a short period of time. I had a great teacher, and the learning group was small, only 3 students, which made it possible for my teacher to focus on all of us individually, and give us the best possible learning experience. Super kind people, would absolutely recommend it.

The school is located in a central area and the teachers are nice and well prepared. Unfortunately they only told me that they didn't have a course on my level two days before my arrival, so instead of a C1, I'm doing two hours of a B2 and two hours of a A2 course. This is annoying, but at least the director was nice and offered me a cooking course as a compensation, so I am overall relatively happy.

EuroPass is a great school to study Italian! I was individually assessed and put in class with 4-6 students: perfect to speak and ask a lot. My teacher Maurizio is competent, funny and veeeeery patient. He is at EuroPass for more than 10 years, so he has a lot of teaching experiences. In addition, he is an expert on the history of arts, and the EuroPass team makes good use of his skills. At least twice a week he offers tours through Firenze in intelligent, comprehensive and, luckily, slooooow Italian. The teaching material is very authentic and nearly flawless (on page 75 of the A1 book the sentence should say: Sono nato il primo di Febbraio). Mostly, we work in groups, so we have to talk in Italian. The exercises are funny and cover all types of tasks (easy - challenging; creative; short - long; etc.). The flat that EuroPass organized for me is very nice. When there is a problem they are glad to help. All in all, EuroPass is not a business that wants to get your money for teaching as cheap as possible. Europass, so far as I can tell from Maurizio, wants you to learn Italian and experience la bella vita e cultura Italiana (resp. Fiorentina).

I've booked the Standard Course for three weeks and I would definitely do it again! The atmosphere at the school is great, the teachers are amazing and there are students from all over the world. The lessons were fun and very efficient at the same time, I learned a lot in a short time. The school offers a wide range of activities in the afternoon and at the weekends. Especially the city tours where so much fun and interesting. All held in italian language, of course, you could especially prove your listening comprehension. So I absolutely recommend this school and the amazing city of Florence for learning the italian language.

I had such a great two weeks here at EUROPASS. My Italian really improved and it was thanks to the amazing teachers who were so helpful and motivational. I also met some really friendly people here who I hope to keep in contact with. The location of the school is incredible, just a 2 minute walk to the Duomo . Amazing school, amazing staff, amazing experience.
