Essential TEFL Level 5, 168-Hour In-Person Course

Hi Everyone! I completed the 120-hour in-person TEFL course in Bangkok with Essential TEFL and it was exactly what I was looking for. If you are searching for the best TEFL course in Thailand, especially one that includes classroom practice and real job support, this is worth serious consideration. Before enrolling, I had the same questions many people ask online: Is the TEFL course accredited? Is a 120-hour TEFL certificate enough to teach abroad? Can you get a teaching job in Thailand after completing the course? How long does it take to find a TEFL job? The course is fully accredited and delivered in person, not online. That made a big difference. We were trained in lesson planning, classroom management, creating quizzes and exams, and teaching grammar and speaking skills to real students. The observed teaching practice gave me confidence before stepping into a full-time role. The training focused on practical skills. We learned how to: Plan structured lessons using course books. Create quizzes, mid-term tests, and final exams. Adapt lessons for mixed-ability learners. Manage a classroom professionally. Prepare for interviews at Thai schools. If you are wondering if a TEFL course near you or an online TEFL course is enough, I would say the in-person training in Thailand gives you a clear advantage when applying for jobs locally. Schools prefer teachers who are already in the country and classroom-ready. Job placement support was one of the strongest parts. The team helped with CV preparation, interview guidance and understanding the Non-B visa and work permit process. Most trainees secured positions quickly after finishing the course. For anyone asking, “How much does a TEFL course cost?” or “Is a TEFL certificate worth it?” I found the investment worthwhile because it led directly to paid teaching work in Thailand. If your goal is to teach English in Thailand and you want more than just a certificate, this course gives you structured training, local connections, and realistic guidance about the visa process. I would recommend it to anyone serious about starting a teaching career in Thailand. Thank you for reading. Adam

Essential is the go-to place for ESL jobs in Thailand with very little hassle. They always pay on-time, and they pay exactly what is owed. Not only this, but the salaries are quite competitive compared to other jobs out there that require similar credentials. They often have a good and long-standing reputation with the schools they deal with. They can thus negotiate any problems or miscommunications quickly and smoothly. The staff will give you constructive feedback, so that you may fairly know how you are doing in their eyes, and also in the eyes of the school. You will be neither criticized too harshly, nor will you be micro-managed. They and the schools they do business with want competent teachers who can manage their work in the classroom. The staff at Essential are also very knowledgeable, and can continue to give good advice for visa issues, travel, and they can also warn you of any other schools that you may go to that might have a bad reputation. All in all, Essential is a good agency to do business with.

I studied at Essential TEFL School in October. I chose Essential TEFL because it seemed like their focus was on the courses, rather than fun activities aside. And that's exactly what I found there. I had the luck to learn from a very experienced teacher, who also provided lots of valuable information about the teaching system in Thailand. Due to the school holidays, I wasn't able to train in schools during the course, but the school made sure I could do that later. All in all I would highly recommend Essential TEFL School, especially if your focus is preparing for teaching.

I loved my time at Essential TEFL! The course had everything: great classrooms, teacher Dan was great! They helped me get a job super fast. We learned a lot about classroom teaching and Thai culture, which was super helpful. Everyone was friendly, and we practiced teaching a lot. Got a teaching job right after I finished, just like my classmates. Best decision ever for teaching in Thailand!

The proximity to transportation links made traveling to and from classes stress-free. It also gave me the flexibility to explore local attractions and become part of the community, which greatly enhanced my overall experience abroad. Essential TEFL has a partnership with many different types of schools in Bangkok. I would highly recommend Essential TEFL. The training I received was excellent and prepared me to excel as a teacher in the classroom. This training included a thorough understanding of English grammar and teaching techniques led by a wonderful staff who have decades of experience teaching in Thailand. The program also ensures that participants learn about Thailand and about working here; this included group outings to explore Bangkok and surrounding towns and events to connect students with teachers working in a variety of schools. While the program was educationally substantive, they ensured it was also fun and meaningful. However, what sets Essential TEFL apart is that they employ their TEFL graduates through their agency, Essential Educational Staffing. I have been happily working with Essential for several years in an excellent school. Additionally, both Essential TEFL and Essential Educational Staffing provide assistance to meet visa and work permit requirements which is a huge help to anyone wanting to work and live in Thailand.
