English Language Partners New Zealand is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1992. The organization was formed in response to the growing need for English support in New Zealand, which saw a large influx of non-English speaking people from Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands in the 1970s. In 2009, the organization was renamed as English Language Partners New Zealand, marking a significant milestone in its history. By 2014, the organization had amalgamated into one legal entity from 23 distinct legal entities, a move that enabled it to achieve increased efficiency and ensure a consistently high level of service delivery to learners throughout the country.
