How far in advance should I apply, and what is the selection process?

The application process includes an online form, a brief resume review, and a virtual interview to ensure your skills and expectations align with current field projects.
Where will I live, and what are daily meals like?
Participants reside in ELOI Africa guest house located within the office premises in Kampala. Accommodations are secure and provide standard amenities, like power, feeding. Daily home-cooked meals featuring local staples (such as rice, beans, fresh vegetables, and fruit) are provided, with vegetarian options readily accommodated.
What entry documentation, visas, and vaccinations do I need?
All participants must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond arrival. You must apply online for a Ugandan Single-Entry Tourist Visa ($50 USD) through the official Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration portal prior to travel. Additionally, proof of Yellow Fever vaccination (Yellow Card) is strictly mandatory for airport clearance upon entry. Prophylaxis for malaria is also strongly recommended.
