CERFO’s Environmental Conservation Program, based in Akheri Village, Arusha–Tanzania, focuses on restoring local ecosystems and promoting sustainable community practices. The program works with local residents, schools, and youth groups to protect natural resources and strengthen resilience against environmental challenges.

Key activities include tree planting, waste management education, sustainable agriculture training, and protection of water sources. Volunteers engage directly with households and community institutions to promote recycling, soil conservation, and climate-smart farming.

The program also supports biodiversity preservation through awareness campaigns, community clean-ups, and the development of green public spaces. Participants gain hands-on experience in rural environmental stewardship while contributing to long-term ecological improvement.
