Community Education Resources Foundation (CERFO)
About Community Education Resources Foundation (CERFO)
I founded the Community Empowerment and Rural Futures Organization (CERFO) in Tanzania, inspired by my own experience growing up in a low-income peasant family. I wanted to help young people access better education, healthcare, and opportunities to grow. CERFO is a youth-led, independent, and non-political nonprofit that supports young people in developing their skills and becoming leaders who make a positive impact in society.
We work with students in primary and secondary schools, as well as universities, offering leadership development, literacy programs, women’s empowerment projects, micro-finance initiatives, environmental conservation, and health outreach. With over 3,000 members across schools and communities, our mission is to help youth build confidence, learn new skills, and create a better future for themselves and those around them.
