Colitas Con Canas was established in 2023 in Urubamba, Peru, with a heartfelt mission to rescue and care for elderly and special needs dogs. As a specialized rescue center, we provide a safe and loving home for dogs that are often overlooked—those in recovery, hospice cases, or simply too old to be adopted. Beyond rescue, we focus on community outreach and education, working to promote responsible pet ownership and reduce the number of homeless dogs through awareness and low-cost spay and neuter programs. With no government funding, we rely entirely on the generosity of people who believe in our cause.
