Cardiology Internships in Greece

This in-country shadowing internship provides an in-depth view of cardiology practice, with shared housing and local team support included. Designed for pre-med, medical, and health sciences students, the program offers a unique opportunity to observe the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases across multiple specialties. Interns shadow experienced cardiologists and nurses in top Greek hospitals, rotating through departments such as general cardiology, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, cardiac imaging, and catheterization labs. Participants will observe consultations, diagnostic tests, imaging procedures, and patient management strategies, gaining insight into complex cardiac cases including arrhythmias, heart failure, and coronary artery disease. Interns also learn about risk assessment, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary teamwork in patient care. With mentorship from professionals trained internationally, this program enhances clinical understanding, strengthens medical school applications, and provides a foundation for careers in cardiology or related medical fields, all while immersing in Greece’s rich culture and vibrant cities.
