Bath Academy's popular Junior Summer School, approved by the British Council, is the perfect choice for teenagers who want to study English in a fantastic city that is not only considered one of the safest in the UK but is also full of culture and history. Bath is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has been described as one of England's most beautiful places to visit. The city has many museums, galleries, gardens, and attractions, including the magnificent Royal Crescent and Roman Baths. We offer both residential and homestay accommodation, along with a packed program of exciting afternoon and evening activities—giving students the chance to socialize, explore, and create unforgettable memories. Our dynamic, creative lessons encourage students to actively participate, build confidence, and develop essential language skills. Lessons focus on practical English, helping students expand their vocabulary and strengthen their grammar. We welcome participants from all over the world, including individuals and groups. Aimed at 12- to 16-year-olds, classes are organized by English level and age.

Where is Bath?

Bath is located in the South West of England. It is a UNESCO World Heritage City with beautiful architecture. It is a very small and safe city with good public transport systems, when needed. It is 1.5 hours by train to London, and only 10 minutes to Bristol! The nearest airport is Bristol Airport. Heathrow and Gatwick are also viable entry points.

How will my child be supported?

The welfare, safety, and wellbeing of students are our top priority during their stay with us. To ensure they feel safe and secure, we provide the following:

  • An extremely safe campus with 24-hour security
  • Excellent student-to-staff ratio (average 1:15)
  • All activities are led by staff members who are all DBS-checked and have undergone training in welfare and safeguarding issues and first aid
  • Regular meetings with group leaders to ensure safety
