I really enjoyed my time with my family and will miss them very much. I recommend this program without hesitation if you want to fully embrace the culture and language.Immerse yourself in the experience and enjoy your time in Costa Rica. I chose to listen to music in Spanish and interact with Spanish media which really helped.
For those thinking about study abroad, I highly recommend this program for its academic and cultural benefits. The program and my host family were very accommodating of my dietary restrictions and me struggling to communicate with them. I now have a better grasp on Spanish and I also have a new international friend.
Our directors were warm, responsive, and fun. Our first aid instructor was incredible and every moment with him was intentional and valuable. The elderly care visit was a highlight. My host mom was an impeccable host and we loved every interaction and meal. I encourage future students to apply to Arcos!
The classes and medical simulations were fun. Everyone was amazing, including my host family, director, and medical instructors. My advice is to step out of your comfort zone. Everyone was amazing! I'm really glad I did this program and I learned a lot.
I learned a lot from local Ticos (Costa Ricans) and from seeing the country but also bonded with fellow students. I genuinely suggest considering this program - it has a lot to offer. Just let loose and enjoy! I highly recommend this program for study abroad.
My director was very informative and attentive. During our trip one of my classmates got sick and I was impressed how well the director handled the situation. I strongly recommend Arcos if you want to have an immersive and cultural study abroad experience.
The homestay was amazing! Be prepared to do things that you weren’t expecting at the outings or with your host family. My Spanish got better, and I got to experience a really different life than my own. I wholeheartedly recommend Arcos for your study abroad!
