It is within easy reach of the Lord of the Rings scenery of Central Otago, which hikers and skiers much favor. Otago students take advantage of the plethora of courses in the sciences and humanities—from geology to exercise science to psychology and from philosophy to Māori studies to film and media. 5 Months Changed My Life
March 25, 2010by: Jonathan - New ZealandProgram: Arcadia Abroad - University of Otago
Arcadia's program at the University of Otago was beyond great. The staff representatives were helpful and responsive when needed but allowed independence, and the few excursions they planned for us were a blast! Shane and Jane were great! In 5 months in New Zealand, I did almost everything I ever dreamed of doing including every goal I set for my time abroad. I had the experience of a lifetime and will never forget the places I saw, people I met, and things I did. My time abroad forever changed the person I am and aim to be and opened up an entirely new perspective on the world for me. I was very close to transferring and living in New Zealand permanently! Wish I could go back.
Great semester!

I had a great semester abroad. The Arcadia staff in New Zealand did a great job easing us into the semester and then turning us loose to do our own thing. They were always available when I needed help or advice.
