The program is specially designed for students of government, law, politics, history, economics, or sociology. The program also enables students to immerse in the culture, history, and politics of Scotland through engaging academic courses and the opportunity to complete significant research under the direction of a member of the Scottish Parliament.
Program Highlights
Courses in Scottish/British politics and Scottish society/culture taught by expert faculty in the University of Edinburgh's Academy of Governance, ranked 17th in the world in QS World Rankings 2015.
This relatively small parliament works very closely with local communities, and you may be significantly involved in speech writing, planning and community issues, enhancing your leadership.
You’ll be matched with a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) according to your mutual policy interests.
You are often given unparalleled access not only to your own MSPs but also to key figures in Scottish and British politics through party conferences, campaigning, national initiatives and PR events.
